H.E. Bin Touq discusses expanding economic and tourism partnerships and strengthening investment opportunities with Rajasthan Chief Minister

Abu Dhabi, August 24, 2026:
H.E. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, held a meeting with Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, Chief Minister of Rajasthan, to discuss prospects for enhancing cooperation between the UAE and Rajasthan in the economic, tourism, and investment fields. The meeting, which took place during His Excellency’s visit to India recently, aimed to create new opportunities for the business communities in both markets.
H.E. Bin Touq affirmed that Rajasthan, with its tourism and heritage assets, and its economic and investment capabilities, represents an important partner in expanding cooperation between the UAE and India, particularly in tourism and hospitality. He noted that the UAE–India economic partnership is an advanced model of sustainable growth and economic integration, offering broad prospects for strengthening opportunities and expanding joint economic and tourism activities.
Opportunities to develop tourism destinations and enhance joint investments
H.E. Bin Touq participated in the UAE–Rajasthan tourism and investment roundtable in Jaipur, with representatives from the tourism and hospitality sectors of both sides. The session explored cooperation and investment opportunities that could strengthen partnerships between business communities and examined prospects for developing tourism and investment projects.
During the roundtable, H.E. highlighted the UAE's tourism strengths and the promising opportunities they offer for enhanced cooperation, particularly in developing tourism destinations, heritage assets, and hotel projects. He also emphasised the importance of leveraging the UAE’s expertise in tourism and hospitality, as well as expanding direct air connectivity to support tourism flows, business activity, and investment between the two sides.
Business roundtable with the Confederation of Indian Industry in Rajasthan
As part of its efforts to strengthen engagement with the Indian business community, the Ministry of Economy and Tourism organised a business roundtable in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in Rajasthan. The session aimed to advance partnerships in hospitality, tourism, medical technology, renewable energy, infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, real estate, and jewellery. Participants discussed prospects for enhancing economic and investment cooperation and benefiting from the opportunities offered by UAE–India relations.
Discussions also addressed the diversity of sectors represented within Rajasthan’s business community and the state’s growing transformation into an industrial and innovation hub. Participants examined the role of the UAE–India economic partnership in supporting business communities in both countries, expanding UAE investments in Rajasthan, and encouraging Rajasthan based companies to benefit from the UAE as a platform for expansion into Gulf and global markets.
The roundtable further reviewed the advantages the UAE offers to Indian companies, including its position as a logistics gateway to African, European, and GCC markets, as well as the supportive environment provided by free zones and the financing and investment ecosystem for establishing and expanding businesses.
