Statement by H.E. Dr. Mansoor Al Awar Chancellor of Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University on the occasion of UAE Flag Day 2025

November 02, 2025: “On UAE Flag Day, a day that embodies the highest meanings of unity and pride in our national identity, we raise the flag of the United Arab Emirates high and proud — a symbol of honor, belonging, and renewed loyalty to our wise leadership, and a tribute to the legacy of the Founding Fathers, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, may their souls rest in peace, who laid the foundations of the Union and built a nation that the world looks to with admiration.
Today, we raise our flag with hearts filled with pride and determination, inspired by the vision and journey of our founding leaders — a journey that taught us the meaning of dedication in work, excellence in giving, and innovation in building both people and society. In every wave of our flag, we see the reflection of unity, leadership, and progress — and we reaffirm our belief that the nation’s advancement begins with the advancement of its knowledge and education.
At Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University, we regard Flag Day as a renewed call to continue the nation’s journey of learning and development, strengthening a culture of excellence and innovation in service to the UAE, and preparing generations who carry knowledge as both a mission and a responsibility — in alignment with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, to make education the foundation of development and the human being its central focus.
On this proud national occasion, we extend our warmest congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai; Their Highnesses the Rulers of the Emirates; the Crown Princes; and the honourable people of the United Arab Emirates — praying that our flag will forever remain a symbol of glory, unity, and everlasting progress.”
