Wego Data Reveals Convenience and Value Are Shaping Summer Travel Plans for Kuwaiti Travellers

Dubai, 24 June 2026: Wego, the number one travel app and the largest online travel marketplace in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), has identified the destinations shaping summer travel demand from Kuwait, with travellers increasingly prioritising accessibility, value, and seamless travel experiences as they plan their seasonal getaways.
According to Wego's latest search data, outbound summer travel searches from Kuwait increased by 19% year-on-year during early June, reflecting strong travel intent ahead of the peak holiday season.
Easy-Access Destinations Lead Summer Searches
Destinations offering simplified entry requirements and convenient connectivity continue to dominate summer travel planning among Kuwaiti travellers.
Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Türkiye ranked among the most searched international destinations from Kuwait during the period, driven by a combination of visa-friendly policies, short flight times, and diverse tourism experiences. Their continued popularity highlights travellers' preference for destinations that are easy to plan, convenient to reach, and well-suited for family holidays, leisure breaks, and group travel.
The growing interest in these destinations reflects a broader trend towards hassle-free travel, with travellers seeking flexibility and convenience without compromising on the quality of their holiday experience.
"Accessibility, value, and experience continue to be the primary drivers of travel demand this summer," said Mamoun Hmidan, Chief Business Officer at Wego.
"We're seeing Kuwaiti travellers gravitate towards destinations that offer seamless travel experiences, strong connectivity, and a broad mix of attractions suited to different travel preferences. Whether travellers are planning family holidays, trips with friends, or extended seasonal breaks, convenience remains a key factor influencing destination choice. At the same time, travellers are looking to maximise the value of their holidays by choosing destinations that offer diverse experiences, from cultural exploration and outdoor activities to leisure and relaxation."
Longer Holidays Drive Interest in International Destinations
Beyond nearby destinations, travellers are also planning longer international holidays, with a mix of European and Southeast Asian destinations continuing to attract strong interest.
Bangkok, Milan, Paris, and Kuala Lumpur ranked among the leading long-haul destinations searched by Kuwaiti travellers during the period. These destinations continue to appeal to travellers seeking a combination of affordability, rich cultural experiences, and opportunities for extended stays.
Wego's data also indicates that travellers are increasingly favouring destinations that offer straightforward travel planning. Visa-friendly destinations continue to account for a significant share of outbound travel searches from Kuwait, while destinations served by direct flights are seeing stronger demand as travellers prioritise convenience and flexibility when planning their summer holidays.
As summer travel demand continues to build, destinations that combine ease of access, strong connectivity, and a diverse range of experiences are expected to remain among the most popular choices for Kuwaiti travellers throughout the season.
